Start sawing logs into lumber with the compact, powerhouse LT15 portable sawmill - the world standard in manual stationary sawmills! Designed for hobbyists, small businesses, and timber framers, the LT15 is an extremely popular and versatile sawmill known throughout the world for being easy to operate and producing high quality lumber.
Loaded and turned manually with a cant hook, logs are secured onto the bed by six side supports and two fully adjustable log clamps that tightly clamp the log and allow for cuts within 1” of the bed. To prepare for cutting, head height is precisely positioned by a quick turn of the up/down dial and the blade is effortlessly engaged with a handle. Cutting is accomplished by steadily advancing the sawmill head along the length of the log by turning a low maintenance, hand-crank feed system which runs on a rope instead of a cable. A power feed is available as an optional upgrade. Once the cut is completed, the head is raised up and pulled back and lowered into position for the next cut. A water tank feeds lubrication directly to the blade to improve cutting performance and keep the blade clean. The adjustable blade guide arm keeps the blade well supported while cutting various sized material.
The LT15 portable sawmill features a cutting capacity for sawing 28" diameter logs into 26" wide boards up to 17' 8" in length with optional 6' 8" extensions for sawing longer lengths. Built in the USA with premium quality steel and industrial-grade powder coat paint, the LT15 adds durability with a steel box bed frame and features gas, diesel, or electric sawmill options, a quick up/down sawhead, gravity-fed blade lubrication, steel side supports, steel log clamps, optional saw head power feed, optional GO trailer, and more for a portable sawmill that is versatile, reliable and trusted throughout the world
Saw softwood and hardwood logs up to 28” in diameter with a 26” width of cut and a 10-½” depth of cut – more than enough capacity for most logs you'll come across.
Reliable Power with Petrol, Diesel, or Electric
Versatile and reliable power options are available to fit your needs. For portable and outdoor sawing, 19HP or 25HP petrol and 10HP or 17HP diesel engines with electric start are available. A 10HP electric motor is also available for sawing indoors in a garage or workshop with a single or three-phase connection.
Quick Sawhead Up/Down with Crank Handle
Quickly and accurately move the sawhead up and down to prepare for sawing with the crank handle and lift assist. Easily turn the handle clockwise or counterclockwise with 32 locking locations to adjust the blade depth 2” for each full rotation or 1/16” for each notch to prepare for the next cut. A quarter scale is also included for sawing 8/4”, 6/4”, 5/4”, and 4/4” lumber.
Precision Sawing with Thin-Kerf Sawmill Blades
Engage the sawmill blade with the convenient pull handle that engages the mechanical clutch and automatically throttles the engine at the same time. The LT15 sawmill uses 158” length sawmill blades. We recommend having at least 10 sawmill blades on hand to minimize sawing downtime when sharpening blades. With the ability to saw as precise as 1/16” with the thin-kerf sawmill blade, you get the most usable lumber out of every log.
High-Performance Sawing with Blade Guide
High-performance blade guide rollers provide extra support and stability for sawmill blades to saw accurately and consistently compared to blade guide blocks. In addition to continuously feeding the blades, the blade guide rollers apply downward pressure on the blade while sawing for better cut quality. Sawmill blades run on belted 19" diameter cast iron band wheels for additional stability in the cut.
Clean Blades with Gravity-Fed Blade Lubrication
Keep the sawmill blade cool and free of pitch, sap, and sawdust while sawing with the gravity-fed blade lubrication that applies directly to the blade. A water tank conveniently located close to the operator is easy to refill and features an on/off valve for consistently distributing lubrication to the blade.
Extra Durable Sawmill Bed with Box Steel Rails and Cross Sections
The sawmill bed adds extra strength and durability where it counts with box steel bed rails and cross sections featuring wide top surface areas for better weight distribution and easier log handling. Each cross section is welded to the bed rails for added stability. In addition, the entire sawmill bed is painted and constructed of the same premium solid steel throughout the bed to last for years, not seasons.
Secure Logs with 2 Quick-Set Log Clamps
Constructed of strong tube steel, two quick-set log clamps tightly fasten logs for sawing and are adjustable up/down and in/out as material is cut. The log clamp uses an acme thread screw for better durability and a clamp point block for an extra grip on a round log or squared cant. Each log clamp is able to move between other cross sections and additional log clamps are available as needed.
Support Logs with 6 Quick-Set Side Supports
Six strong steel quick-set side supports are adjustable up/down to stabilize logs on the bed during loading, turning, clamping, and sawing. Three side supports include heavy-duty rollers to assist with turning logs. Each side support is mounted directly on the bed and includes rust-resistant paint for durability. An additional built-in bed side support on each cross section eliminates the need for adjustable side supports while sawing a squared cant and allows for final cuts within 1” of the bed.
Optional GO Trailer
GO completely portable by adding the GO Trailer to your LT15 portable sawmill. Complete with a durable steel frame, single axle, two wheels, two fenders, set of 6 adjustable outriggers, lights, and hitch, the GO Trailer allows sawing logs directly on the trailer with the ability to easily hook-up and GO to your next sawing site.
Optional Power Feed
Power up your LT15 portable sawmill with an efficient power feed system. This easy-to-use, bolt-on, electronic control replaces the manual crank feed and allows you to move the saw head forward and reverse with 12 volt power for more production with less effort. In addition, a power feed improves the quality of the cut by providing a consistent, even feed speed that yields the best surface on lumber. Forward saw head speed is variable up to 90 feet per minute with the simple turn of a dial and the reverse saw head control is one speed.
